How it works
The Halifax Citrus Fundraising Program is a simple two week sales campaign.
Order forms are distributed or emailed, among fundraisers and forwarded to their group contacts by email or in person.
Orders must be submitted to the Halifax Citrus Company by a set deadline at which point the fruit order is placed. The fruit is delivered to the organization three weeks following the final day of the campaign.

Benefits
No minimums
There is no minimum (or maximum) number of cases to purchase from us or to sell.
High return
On average, organizations net $10 per case and $7-$9, per half case. Our trucks can carry 1200 cases; for a potential profit of $12,000 or more for your organization.
Zero risk
Your organization is invoiced upon delivery only for the number of cases sold.
Healthy choice
Rich in fibre, antioxidants and nutrients, a serving or two of citrus fruits daily can improve everything from digestive health to brain function.

Our Fruit
Our fruit has a long shelf life since the fruit is picked, packed and to your door in a short period of time. The minimum shelf life is generally 3-4 weeks.

Our Story
At age 10, Halifax Citrus Fundraising founder Seamus Burne joined the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club. That same year, Burne’s mother Joanne, accepted the role of fundraising coordinator for the team, assuming the responsibilities from a parent, whose swimmer had moved on to university.
In the previous year the swim used selling fruit as a fundraiser. The fundraiser was a success, but a mild one at best. The Aquatic club had only brought in a half truck of fruit, leaving the other half empty.
Joanne invited the Dartmouth Crusaders Swim Club to sell fruit in conjunction with the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club in order to cut down on transportation expenses.
This initiative was a success and inspired Seamus to continue, founding the Halifax Citrus Fundraising company.
Over the past 30 years, the company has grown through word-of-mouth across many non-profit organizations. The distribution base ranges from Newfoundland to Windsor, Ontario; from high school bands to the Rotary Club.
